Tavit started with a single conviction: the millions of MSME owners who run India's economy on Tally deserve software that handles GST as reliably as they handle their business — without CAs having to babysit it.
Mission
Every hour an MSME owner spends cross-checking invoices against GSTR-2B is an hour not spent on their craft, their customers, or their team. Our mission is to reclaim that time — for all 63 million MSMEs in India.
Vision
By 2030, we want a kirana owner in Gorakhpur to open Tavit, see a green tick next to every compliance deadline, and go back to running their shop — in Hindi, on a phone, without calling their CA for a status update.
Our story
Tavit was born in 2023 when our founder watched a Varanasi textile exporter receive a GST notice — not because they hadn't paid, but because their CA had missed a GSTR-2B reconciliation deadline buried in a shared spreadsheet.
Every tool we found assumed the user had a chartered accountant on speed dial, spoke English, and understood GST law. Most of our potential customers had none of the above. So we built Tavit — opinionated software that makes the right choice automatically.
Today we serve 200+ MSMEs across Varanasi and Prayagraj, partnering with 40+ CAs who use our dashboard to manage all their clients from a single screen. We are a small team with deep expertise in Indian tax law, enterprise engineering, and the daily reality of running a business in Tier 2 India.
“We measure every sprint against one question: did we reduce the number of hours an MSME owner spends thinking about compliance this month?”
Values
The team
Every person on the team has worked directly with Indian tax law, enterprise accounting software, or high-scale product engineering. No one builds a feature they don't understand end to end.
